First let me say, Adulting is hard and frankly, it’s for the birds! Whoever came up with an 8 hour work day had absolutely nothing better to do and must have put a curse on my family! But every day I wake up, I’m constantly thinking of another way to increase my savings account and comfortably retire in my 30s! Why? Well it’s simple. While the people we love are priceless and the best things in life are free, everything else has a price tag!

Bleeding from the Bitten Tongue

All my childhood I was taught, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!” Now, because of this theory, I realize that I have been suffering from a disorder – Biting My Tongue. It’s a disorder that I, like many others suffer from. The side effects include overactive brain, emotional distress, and sudden urges to drink. Well today, I would like to announce that I am on the road to recovery! 


Don’t Be Sorry

So many times we find ourselves – as moms, sisters, friends – apologizing because of how someone else received something. We’re so quick to hit that “I’m sorry” just so the conversation will end and the problem or person will go away. But what that creates is the expectation that you will always do that. But what if you’re really NOT sorry? Do you ever even give yourself time to consider whether you are before saying it?
